Welcome

Lucy and Sarah have been dancing in the Egptian and Tribal-Style for about 10 years. Both began at the same workshop but their paths have meandered. Lucy specialised more in A.T.S. and Sarah continued with, and began to teach belly dance based on Egyptian tradition. Recently, they have been fortunate enough to dance together, again, performing under the name 'Mama Maya', (Lucy's love of Abba, both being mothers, and 'Maya' is the tribal name of a particular hip movement).

This blog is a diary, a photo album, a celebration.

Lucy is teaching Tribal classes at The Gym, Coopies Lane, Morpeth, Tuesdays from 7.30-9pm (01665712308)

Sarah is teaching her Tribal Basics at St Aidan's Hall, Berwick, Mondays 6.15-7.15 (phone 01668213618
